Why this exists

This site was created by Steve Orton a Social Studies teacher of many years in Lincoln, NE.

He has had the opportunity to work in a wonderful school district that often provides him what he needs to meet students where they are at. He knows that is not always the case and wanted to create a site for teachers to find that missing piece, be inspired and ultimately do best for their students.

His hope is that all people, both young and old, will be reminded of the remarkable stories of those that came before us.
